Hemingway is one of the greatest American writers in the twentieth century; his works have a profound effect around the world on all his readers. As of today, the scholars who research on Hemingway at home and abroad have also done a deep study. They use different methods of criticism to read Hemingway's works from different angles, in order to show us the different connotations at all levels of Hemingway's works. Having read all the works of Hemingway carefully, we found that he always used several types of image repeatly: natural image, character image and social activity image, and through the split and combination of the above images to show us the relationship between different characters and the content of the story. If study these images deeply, we can see that Hemingway is not just simply rendering of these scenes or activities for the readers, but through writing these types of images repeatedly to express his consistent writing theme - Violence. Then, how several types of images in Hemingway's works reveal his consistent violent theme? We need to research on the relationships formed by several images that Hemingway used to organize. We know that any literary work is constituted by the relationship, and the researchers think that Hemingway's works mainly discusses the relationship between man and nature, as well as the relationship between man and society. In fact, the man between the relationship of nature and society is a kind of manifestation for the "violent theme". In general, violence including two different forms. First, visible violence. Those visible pain that suffering on our body is a kind of concrete violence, which directly destroyed our physical health or even threatened the safety of our lives, is a kind of visible form of violence. Second, invisible violence. Those invisible pain that suffering in our spirit, morality and psychology is a kind of intangible violence, which indirectly devastated our mental health, giving us a huge psychological pressure, making people fear, anxiety and pain, this is an invisible form of violence. In Hemingway's eyes, violence is everywhere, complicated and diversified, which is filled in every corner of our lives, exists in our lives every single minute. Suffering is inevitable, is not counteractable, then how should we live? To let the violence hurt us wantonly, or to fight against it bravely? There is no doubt that Hemingway chose the latter undoubtly. For all his life, Hemingway struggled with a variety of pain and violence that he took. At the end of his life, he knew that he had become increasingly closer to death, so he just chose to face the death bravely, in fact, this is his last own explanation to make a comment on "against violence" !Our bodies can be eliminated, but the spirit is eternal.
