It has been half a century for China Teleplay since《a draft of rapeseed cake》was broadcasted by Beijing TV station, not only the forerunner of CCTV(China Central Television),but also the first TV station in China, on June 15,1958.During this period, it changed away from live broadcast to recorded broadcast; black-and-white to color; single-part TV play to series TV play and set construction shooting to location shooting…China Teleplay has become one of the people's favourite common literature and art style, whose large output, broad covering and far-reaching influence have been far beyond other kinds of arts.Tens of thousands of television were produced during the past 50 years, which formed various types naturally, and each type has its specific background, displays a different art style, and has a different market value, as well as a different mode of operation.In this respect, we conducted a series of studies on the TV type, such as describing its development process, summarizing the law of art originality, and attempting to complement and perfect the teleplay theory through the primary method of case study and comparative study, which will give great meaning to the future development of teleplay.As one of the researches on TV types, this paper studies Joking teleplay and mainly focuses on its aesthetic and artistry. From the beginning of the 1990s, Joking teleplay has become a major social concern and is welcomed by people.In the circumstance of socialist transforation, It combines the "joking", the reflect mode of a special historical drama with "drama",the two elements of contemporary culture media to spread the mass culture and entertainment spirit with a "brand",and caused a tremendous repercussion.In a certain sense, there is much to improve and resolve for joking teleplay, which is still in an exploratory development stage in terms of art or teleplay production.But the inherent characteristics of "joking" still have large potentials to explore, such as from an aesthetic point of view, "joking",the fresh theme and narrative strategies requires high consistency with the real-life,while from the perspective of art, the comedy and entertainment of production attitude of joking teleplay provides a broader development space.Therefore,this paper is intended to analyze "Kang Xi Incognito Travel" (1-4)from advance from TV shows,aesthetic,artistic characteristics, prospect four areas to get the prospects and development trends of Joking teleplay.
