The researches about teachers development mainly focus on experienced teachers. Comparatively, the growth of novice teachers are less paid attention to. Practically speaking, being an experienced teacher is the first and foremost task for each international Chinese language teacher. The Chinese language students need experienced teachers to help them improve languages level. For the language institutes, they need the novice Chinese teachers to be an experienced teachers as soon as possible. Understanding how novice international Chinese teachers develop plays an important role in satisfying those three requirements. The present study has two purposes. The first purpose of the study is to explore how TCSL novice teachers'beliefs develop. The second purpose is to explore the differences and similarities between novice teachers'beliefs. The study mainly uses journal study which is based on the Bailey format, interviews, class observations, evaluations, and MBTI personality tests to collect data. It also employs two qualitative methods to analyze the data. The findings of the present study suggest the following:1) that the change in TCSL novice teachers'beliefs fits the Black & Ammon model;2) that changes in novice teachers'beliefs are related to four main areas:class auditions, instructions from experienced teachers, feedback from students, colleagues, and self-reflections;3) and that changes in novice teachers'beliefs vary according to different personality types.Based on the above analysis, the study recommends that novice teachers should be provided more opportunities for intership and communication with experienced TCSL teachers using the Black & Ammon model. This would allow the novice teachers to gain firsthand experience before starting their teaching career. Self-reflection is also beneficial to the development of TCSL novice teachers.
