This paper is a complex study of Gulin Yao's tomb from the view of folkloristic.Juancheng town is located in the southwest of Shandong Province. Its east side is Yuncheng and its south side is Mudanqu. The west and north sides are Henan Province.There are Juancheng,Hongchuan, Yanshi, Shiji, Jiucheng, Jishan, Dongkou, Linbu, Gulou, Lijinshitang, Yinma, Fenghuang, Danian, Fuchun, Zhengying, Zuoying under its command. Gulin Yao's tomb is in the west of Fuchun. Its north is Zhaoqianzhuang, and its south is Huanghejindi Yao's tomb is the state protected monuments in Shandong Province, and it is the place that kirmess is held. This paper will discuss the tomb and the kirmess.First of all, there will be a description about the tomb from the past to the present. Then there will be a discuss about fables. From the discuss we can see the fables have a selective feature and there are some different groups. At last, there will be an analysis of the sources which are used by the groups. By this way, we can see the true motive behind the folk beliefs.This article mainly takes three kinds of methods:documentary research, field research method and the general method of folklore. From this paper, I hope it can show the relationship between folk beliefs and human relation, and complement the study of folk beliefs in region society.
