Virginia Woolf is a abroad or in-country at one time focused on her literary achievements, but not understanding the ideology about feminist thought disclose by her works and the status her as a feminist pioneer sufficiently. Image of "Angel in the house" in her works, is an important aspect as Woolfs feminist tendencies. This paper's opinion, as Woolfs most important female images, the feminism interpretation about "Angel in the house" is the key to understand Woolf. This paper tries to give out the historical value and limitations of Woolf's "Angel in the house ", by standing with analyzing the text of Woolf "Angel in the house", seeing about Woolf's "Angel in the house" reality survival situation, expatiating relations between the modeling of "bed angel", the life experiences of women with Woolf and the conception of women of Woolf. Mainly taking Woolfs "A Room of One's Own ", "Three Guineas" and other essays, and "To the Lighthouse", "Mrs. Dalloway" and other novels as the essential according.This article is divided into six parts:Introduction part explain the study significance, analyze the study situation, and outlines the structure and the main innovation of paper. The first chapter is text analysis about "Angel in the house" of Woolf. By premising on revealing the connotation of " Angel in the house " in typical Victorian Time, detailing text analyzing of Woolf "the angel", finally summarized Woolf's features of "Angel in the house". Chapter two summaries the context of realistic survival of Woolf's "Angel in the house". Mainly from four parts about the economic, political, education and the continuation and penetration of traditional cultural to reveal the situation of late Victorian Times'"Angel in the house ". And described Woolf's late Victorian Times'family-environment, paved the way for text blow to reveal how this family-environment has an influence on her. Chapter three tell out the relations between "the angel" in shaping and Woolf's life experiences of women. By combining Woolf's works and his theory and comparing it with other men's works, we can give the conclusion that women's narrow live space lead to their work contents mostly subject on family life; at the same time, as a important manner for women to express themselves, who under the control of female, Woolfs writing more be a biography, a real life of "suppressed reflection" and "alternative to meet"; Finally, Woolfs work, mostly expressed women emotional, it is mainly a personal emotional experience, accompanied by strong experiential context, it mostly expressed women's death and madness in the conflict. Chapter Four is about relationships between "Angel in the house" and Woolfs concept of the women. Woolfs conception of women includes that women's independence, attention to women's unique temperament and the androgyny of gender concept. in women's Independence part, by compare "Angel in the house" with "accessory angel" written by the late Victorian era male-writer, analyzed women's independence feature in Woolf's works; in women's unique temperament part, by analyzing Woolf and the nineteenth century important women writers themselves and the overflowed unique charm from their works which well catches the female temper, disclosed relations between Woolf "Angel in the house" and female temper; at last, expatiated Woolfs gender relations:the idea of androgyny. At the epilogue, analyzed Angel's historical significance and limitations of Woolf. The historical significance is her "Angel in the house" images enlightened feminist theory and the image-building of contemporary Chinese women; drawback is:because of the era limitation, sentimental image is still the main theme of her, so the critique her give to the patriarchal system by the image of "Angel in the house" is moderate, not radical.In short, by analyzing Woolf "the angel" image text and looking back it's history, by studying and exploring women's experiences and female concept which Woolf "the angel" relay on, by fully studying Woolfs " Angel in the house " and basing on a comprehensive analysis of researching to showing the true and complete history of her face, to properly understand and evaluation Woolf's value and limitations, so as to do a few our endeavor for the in-depth research of Woolf's feminism ideas.
