This thesis is based on the research of fiber and space arts. From the view of materials, it discusses the new context Ready-mades showed when they are involved in fiber and space arts. And implications it reveals in post-modern "mixed space".The thesis discusses the use and contemporary significance of Ready-mades in fiber and space arts by three chapters. The first chapter discusses the use of Ready-mades in fiber and space arts by vertical comparison of history. And the following development, it merges the two art forms, resulting in alienation of unique space with the concept of art at that time.The second chapter analyzes horizontally the use of Ready-mades in fiber and space arts, focuses on the cultural implication combined fiber and Ready-mades are presented. Postmodern culture is a dominant cultural phenomenon. Post-modern culture permeated consumer culture in which its indulgence both can not be divided. Faced with the cultural landscape, artists choose invariably to combine Ready-mades of consumer society with fiber to create a metaphor space. It uses an intuitive, vivid, sharp artistic expression to present the social cultural problems.The third chapter analyzes the characteristics of "digital culture", and proposes "mixed space". Catalyzed in the digital network, people experience the reality of "digital culture ". With the intertwining of virtual reality and reality, fluctuation in the space filled with fragmented current. People in the "over-enrichment" are also thrown into the reality of the loss in the face of an empty moment. Based on such practical problems, artists choose to be straight or virtual, to reflect by the way of alienation.Works combined with fiber and Ready-mades receive attention for their unique artistic expression and affirmation in important contemporary art exhibitions at home and abroad. Works use a large number of Ready-mades and fiber materials, as well as the combination with fiber space cut into the current problems. Also, it attaches updated significance to fiber and Ready-mades arts.
