Along with the continuous improvement of people's living standard, increasingly number of adults start to play the piano. However, what confused them most is "how should I start?" On the one hand, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is week. They feel too frustrated when having professional and systematic classes to hold on to the last; on the other hand, some are anxious for success. They eager to play a whole composition, but ignore the hand-type and playing methods. It doesn't only spoil the composition but also have them correct bad habits formed in initiation stage from time to time. In all, congruent introduction strategy is the key for adults realizing their piano dream. At present, traditional piano introduction and teaching methods are specifically compiled for children rather than adults. Due to the age, adults are short at learning ability, but good at abstract thinking. This particularity arouses a new task for adult piano introduction education, which has two types currently. They are vocational education and non-vocational education which is also called social education. With the pointcut of education mode, this paper mainly makes statistical study and analysis on the non-vocational education. Discuss the relations between education mode and the outcome, so as to promote the development of adult piano introduction education.The introduction part mainly demonstrates the reasons for doing research on this subject and its purposes. It also summarizes achievements in this field at home and abroad. This part specifically explains the methods adopted during researching the objects in case study and conclusion of sample survey. The body part describes the status of the current education on piano and its causes. According to different educational theories, the article classifies the education strategies into two types for adult piano beginners and detailed analyzes and explains the typical one on all round. Based on the in-depth research and analysis of these two strategies, the author further discusses the main problems occurred for beginners, more importantly, brings her unique and constructive suggestions on it. The body is composed of four parts:1) The situation of current education mode for adult piano beginners and reasons; 2) The introduction and analysis on two education strategies for adult beginners; 3) The main problem exists in the two education strategies and case study; 4) Suggestions on education strategies for adult piano beginners.Besides researching methods of qualitative analysis, sample survey, case study, etc, this paper does long-term follow-up investigation on learning situation of object cases, so as to pinpoint and solve problems. The author hopes that this paper can make reference for adult piano beginners when they select introduction courses, meeting needs of different learners and promote the diversified development of adult piano education further.
