In the development history of China film, film, as narrative art, absorbed the legendary narrative experience from traditional fiction,drama,storytelling and so on. Dramatic film became famous school and formed relatively complete film theory. And that poetic film which was developed from "poem and literary writings tradition" also made deep influence to China national style's film narrative form and image language, formed China film's distinguished characteristics which is different from those of Western and other countries. By analyzing and synthesizing the history data and video documents, this paper tries to describe the evolution of China mainland's poetic film, and explain the special narrative forms of China poetic film and styles of camera language.This paper consists of three parts:In the first part, this paper, accompanied by world film history's development of "poetic film" and the influence of China classic aesthetics on China film, illustrates the idea that China poetic film is more like lyrics than symbolic, and describes the development of China poetic film's general history.In the second part, this paper analyses the narrative forms of China poetic film. China poetic film's narrative modes are different from main trend film's narrative modes. It uses subjective narrative pattern and anti-plot crossover narrative structure. And it inherits "poem and literary writings tradition" from China traditional art while weakens the grand times background and social collision with focuses more on individual's ups and downs. With concerns to the society and life of becoming romantic and poetic, it gives rise to a kind of idealized pastoral sentiment.In the third part, this paper focuses on styles of camera language of China poetic film. While past researches most focused the literariness, the writer starts with film image ontology. Combining with China poem and painting theory, this paper explains that poetic films make poetic picture and audio-visual feeling. It mainly describes the poetic film's special audio art formed by Lyricism camera language's "yichangsantan',"long rolls painting modes ","inscriptions painting poem modes".
