Urban sculpture, as a kind of public arts, combining with the environment, regional culture, and daily life, represents one city's unique ambiance. Therefore, these unique points are materialized as sculpture, which are popular among the citizens.With more and more urban sculptures come out in recent years, some problems, appearing at the same time, can not be ignored. The paper mainly focus on the discussing the condition that urban sculpture has the dialectical relation with intangible cultural heritage which depends on the analysis of the current situation of urban sculpture. The urban sculpture summarizes the content of the intangible cultural heritage, materialize to the substance which can be touched, and keep it age to age by means of arts. On the other hand, the protecting of the intangible cultural heritage will have a great influence on the composing of the urban sculpture. Then through the practice of specific items and the deep realization of the process of the design, the author produces its theoretical views. That is the core spiritual part of the intangible cultural heritage can be fully expressed by the urban sculpture and its designing view, and at the same time, the urban sculpture protects the intangible cultural heritage from disappearing from the time.
