A Study On The Images Of The Feudal Lords In "Zuo Zhuan"

During the Spring and Autumn Period, continuous war for the hegemony broke out between the feudal lords, the overlord has become the greatest influences during this historical process, they dominated the activities such as ritual and expeditions, or controlled the situation in a specific area. On the political arena in the Spring and Autumn years, they appeared continuously and rotated quickly which bustled and greatly influenced the development of social economy and culture of that time.The images of the feudal lords can be deemed as an important content in "Zuo Zhuan", also the creative focus for the author. As they share certain characteristics, they became the important carrier of pursuing aesthetic and ideolgical tendencies. So the author of "Zuo Zhuan",on the premise of respecting the history, to portray amount of different images of the feudal lords. This paper attempts to analyse and research images of the feudal lords in "Zuo Zhuan".The paper studies images of the feudal lords in "Zuo Zhuan" by analysing characters and types of people in this group, and attempts to draw conclusions on methods of shaping images in "Zuo Zhuan". This paper consisted of by three parts, the first part is the analysis of the image of the group in "Zuo Zhuan"; the second part, literary expression of the images in "Zuo Zhuan" and the third part is the monographs of the images of the feudal lords in "Zuo Zhuan". The paper will enable us to better understand the social and historical outlook in the period through analyzing and researching this specific image group.
