The professional identity is the individual's positive evaluation for the profession. It expresses the importance of the professional identity taking part in the individual self-identification. The professional identity is an important personal resource at work. psychologist are psychology counseling graduate students who are about to engage in psychology consulting work and specialized workers who are engaged in psychological counseling profession.As work and study pressure increase, accordingly psychological problems appear, more and more people begin to resort to psychological counseling. Psychological counseling as a psychological aid to provide effective professional activities, also become an important occupational field in the modern society. I believe that we need to focus psychologist'professional identity and related issues.Based on the study of career identity, emotion work and work engagement home and abroad, this study make the initial exploration on professional identity latitude structure of psychologist's professional identity under Chinese culture background using self-compiled professional identity questionnaire of psychological consultants and ready-made questionnaires of emotion work and work engagement. This study also makes a primary discussion about the relationship between the professional identity, emotion work and work engagement. The main findings are as follows:First, professional identity questionnaire of psychologist contains six elements: the professional will, professional emotion, professional expectation, professional significance, professional competence and professional knowledge. The six factors own a clear structure and a good reliability and validity.Second, under different demographic variables, the students misunderstood the various dimensions. There were significant differences in scores. The differences are mainly reflected in age, marital status, whether the holding of the certificate and work place. The older one is the higher degree of professional identity one get; married counselors'professional identity are better than the unmarried; consultants holding certificate II significantly have better expertise than those without certificate; comparing with psychological consultants in schools, the psychological consultants of psychosocial counseling centers in the society have higher degree of professional identity.Third, professional identity of psychologist plays the intermediary role between emotion work and work engagement relationship. First, professional identity, emotion work and work engagement have mutually significant relationship. Professional identity negatively correlates with the surface play strategy and make a significant positive correlation with the depth play. The next regression analysis showed that: emotional work could highly predict the professional identity, to which the surface play negatively predicted, and the deep play make positive prediction. Both professional identity and emotion work have a predictable effect on work engagement. The three latitude deep play of emotion work, expression rules and the diversity of expression has a positive predictive effect on work engagement, four latitudes of professional identity has a positive predictive power to work engagement.
