Oil painting, as the West exotic work into China, after three hundred years'contact and over one hundred years'exploration and practice, has been gradually integrated into Chinese people's life. Chinese oil painters, guided with the traditional Chinese philosophy and culture, have been thinking and exploring Western painting and then achieved certain success in theory and practice, for which a new painting style named imagery oil painting has emerged in this case. China imagery oil painting, different from west classic oil painting, was rooted in the soil of China local culture as an art form, and has inherited Chinese art aesthetic pursuit tradition, full of Chinese national characteristics and aesthetic character.China Oil Painting, which is not a simple painting style or genre, is the results of integration and transformation between Chinese and Western painting language during the process of Western oil painting'development in China. Also known as freehand brushwork painting, Chinese painting is the representative of oriental culture. Freehand theory is the center of Chinese classical aesthetics category. Still adopting west artistic technique language, China imaginary oil painting, whose image modeling has highlighted the unity of subjective and objective, with less emphasis on three-dimensional space, has absorbed China traditional painting art technique. With the characteristics of wetness and drying, denseness and diluentness, Chinese ink painting combines the painting techniques such as cracking and brushing, dotting and dyeing with skills of stroking and cutting, and takes in more subjective expression ways, rather than simply copies color of the nature in the color expression. The Chinese imagery oil painters, with endless efforts, can creatively integrated the essence of traditional Chinese culture into their exploration of foreign culture, and take a place in Chinese painting world and implements great impact. But contemporary trend requires our oil painters'further progress, deeper exploration of new material and intense concerns on people's living conditions, and thus make work more and more "spiritual."...
