Open innovation is a new concept, which was papered by American scholar Chesbrough, in 2003, It is a concept transformation which was relative to the closed innovation. The traditional closed innovation model is produced in-house technology innovation laboratories, To ensure that technical secrets are not leaked, Thus ensuring the technology and bring exclusive monopoly profits. The open innovation is the development of new products, companies no longer rely solely on their own R & D, But by the market to buy other companies advanced technology, combined with their technical characteristics and market advantage to introduce new products with independent intellectual property rights.The concept of open innovation made soon after by the attention of scholars in Western countries, But still lack of a mature theoretical framework of this paradigm in-depth study of technological innovation. Through comparative analysis, we found: Current cognitive science theory of distributed cognition typical case and open innovation process has similarities to a large extent, Further studies revealed:The basic pre-distributed cognition theory, research framework and cognitive channels research, can be applied to the analysis of open innovation. First of all, research subjects, both related to a similar process of knowledge production in this process, different individuals and groups, information exchange and consultation between, and finally reached a consensus; Secondly, both acknowledging that information with local properties, that is, the meaning and validity of the information depends on the specific groups and individuals; Thirdly, the study framework, both of great importance to group interaction, and that information between the different levels of calculation and consultations; Finally, cognitive awareness of the artificial channels and distribution of research material, both are concerned about the distribution of artificial materials characterized by computation and communication channels for knowledge production process.
