As a director with artistic individuality, Li Shaohong focuses her TV plays on the narrative literature; feminism works creation and image art, presenting special artistic features. Li Shaohong's TV plays are characterized by special artistic style and remarkable elite consciousness, which has shaped her important position in the history of Chinese TV series.Li Shaohong's TV series are well-known for the distinct narrative style and narrative mode with strong literature peculiarity. And the narration mode of poetry lines, dramatic clash metallization and circular characterization work together to form the literature feature of her TV series. We can sense the art pursuit in her TV series, involving the derivative of usual theme, exposition of history subject in contemporary sense, deeper exploration into human nature, and feminism.Li Shaohong is expert in dealing with color, sound and image, which contributes to her image style of "ONLY BEAUTY". In 1997, she adapted the novel A THUNDER STORM into TV series in a novel and unique way. From then on, Li Shaohong became famous in the fields of TV plays and her later works DA MING GONG CI and ORANGE left a deep impression on the audience by the entirely new audio-visual experience.Therefore, the conclusion can be drawn that Li Shaohong's works might be considered to be brilliant performance on the screen, and a successful model for TV series, which can supply some worthwhile experience for both Chinese TV series creation and the treatment of the relationship between elite culture and mass culture. From the perspective of Li Shaohong's artistic features, the author makes a study of her TV series works in order to get a whole understanding about Li Shaohong's works on a higher level, and to reflect current TV series creation by exploring connotation and art in her works.
