The Ecological Consciousness In Zhangwei's Novels

We are not only faced with industrial development,material wealth,urban prosperity,also global ecological problems. The status of the deterioration of natural environment,the mess of social ecology and the overall defeat of people's spiritual ecology is startling. More and more writers start to concerned about the ecological problems,to demonstrate their anxiety and thinking,to reveal a strong ecological consciousness in their creation, Zhangwei is one example. This article attempts to interpret Zhangwei's novels, to analysis his novels of ecological awareness , to find the ideological resources of the ecological awareness and to analysis the inherent contradiction of the ecological awareness briefly by using related theory of ecocriticism based on 30 years fiction of Zhangwei.This paper is divided into three main parts. The first chapter systematically deal with the performance of the ecological consciousness in Zhangwei's novels. The author try to break the limitation which former writers only focus on natural ecology, to discuss this problem in three aspects: natural ecology,social ecology and spiritual ecology. Zhangwei pay attention to the situation of ecological deterioration, and profound reflections actively, he well described the beautiful natural scenery and the state of man and nature in harmony to call people's kindness, and return to the harmony between man and nature. In addition, Zhangwei show his melancholy, anxiety, sorrow even anger to the status of the mess of social ecology and the imbalance of human spirit ecological, he show a rational criticism to attempt to save the two kind of status in the way that return to pastoral,return to nature. At last, he shows the three kinds ecological is interdependent. The second chapter is aimed to explore the ideological resource of ecological consciousness in Zhangwei's novel creation. While as the previous commentators affirming that the impact of ecological consciousness on the Zhangwei's childhood experiences, ecological wisdom that implied by ancient Chinese Confucianism and Taoism, and ecological consciousness in soviet literature. In addition, they are observed in that the formation of ecological consciousness of the important role in Zhangwei's novels. Confucianism's "harmony between human and heaven", "love people and treasure things", Taoism's "Tao follows nature", "less private few desires" and so on, they are all thinking of the creation of Zhangwei, and had a significant impact. In addition, Zhangwei's creation show the landscape description of harmony of the materiality and human soul, and the anxiety of the conflict between man and nature , and the hurt of social status which everybody gone bad ,etc, are similar to soviet writers. The three chapter analysis the inherent contradiction of the ecological consciousness in Zhangwei's novels. Pointed out that the conflict of "reason" and "emotional" in two sides: the ambivalent of urban civilization and rural civilization, and male-based position in his novels, the conflict of "knowing "and" doing". Zhangwei have a certain depth understanding of the two issues theoretically, but this understanding which specified from abstract theoretical summary to real creation, by the impact of certain factors consciously or unconsciously, cause the conflict of ecological consciousness .
