The complexity of the people practice in the era of globalization requires that our thought must be comprehensive. However, ignoring the requirements of thinking transformation, most college English teachers do not regard cultivating new thinking style as a teaching focus. This makes it very important to attention college English teaching and thinking style transformation of college students in the specific context of globalization. On the one hand, it enriches the theory research of college English teaching. Teaching modes of thinking in Western culture and digging the implicit modes of thinking in the specific content, teachers cultivate students' thinking ability and make them form new thinking styles. On the other hand, it provides theoretical guidance for the college English teaching reform. As a common required course, the goal of college English is treating new talents, with an integrated way of thinking. Therefore, the college English teaching reform must update teaching concept, develop course content, change teaching mode to cultivate students' integrated way of thinking. In this study, I adopt literature research to collect a number of relevant documents and study the subject systematically.The paper is divided into four parts to be discussed:firstly, to define globalization and thinking style, I sum up that the globalization requires naive whole, metaphysical decomposition, dialectical comprehensive ways of thinking. Secondly, I analyze the weaknesses of college students'thinking styles, that intuitive thinking abnormal weakness, analytic thinking not deep enough, the lack of dialectical thinking. This shows the gap between college students'thinking style and the requirements of globalization on thinking style, which provides basis for the reform of college English teaching. Then, from the college English teaching concept, teaching content and teaching method, I investigate the current situation of college English teaching and find out that current college English teaching can not cultivate students'new ways of thinking. Finally, college English teaching reform trains students' new thinking styles in order to echo the new situation of global change. Students' initiative can be aroused in the student-centered teaching mode, teachers can train intuitive thinking, analytical thinking, dialectical thinking in the preparation, lecture, review. By digging analytic, dialectical thinking in the Western culture and implicit thinking in the content, teachers perfect students' thought. Teachers can also guide students to gather information, independent thinking through interactive heuristic, theme-based, task-based approaches, and improve their three thinking styles in the course of analyzing and solving problems.
