Study On Convergence Of Folk Shadow Arts And Modern Communication Technologies

Chinese ethnic shadow art, not only contains arts and music, sculpture, folk history, the essence of a rich concentration of national history and culture of all nationalities of China, but also participate in the prosperity of the entire national art developing process. Facing the impact of globalization, the traditional folk shadow art is losing its traditional values and functions as witchcraft and enlightenment. Its territory is gradually shrinking. However, the traditional values will eventually be replaced by the modern values which suits the changing society. Talking about traditional folk arts, means to absorb the essence of the history and culture,to build a bridge between tradition and mordern, and lay down a solid foundation for a harmonious society.Although the shadow and other traditional folk art has long been included in the list of the world's intangible cultural heritage protection, the state and the government also introduced measures to protect and preserve folk arts like shadow, people have spontaneously organized a number of conservation organizations, some even established delineation of protected areas. However, these practices didn't achieve their goals,meanwhile they almost damage the "living" character of the heritage.This article is based on a question——Can traditional arts such as the shadow find a new track to retain their drifting away? Based on the theories of folklore and communication, this article study on the value of the convergence of the modern communication technologies, analyse the background and feasibility of excavating and remodeling the shadow art. In addition, the paper also proposed some research findings and recommendations such as "from life than life", "integration and open innovation awareness", "commitment and the different rules,".
