Humanism In Public Art

This paper mainly discussed the public works exsit the space environment constitute with a point view of humanistic perspective is one of the important elements.With the urban development, social progress, the people's democratic improvement in our increasingly complex urban system in the information age, is playing an increasingly important role. As the product of the city's development.,it is constructed by planar or three-dimensional multiple functional materials with information. Besides the practical function in a city, these public art works also have aesthetic function as landscape decoration. They are not only important urban enviroment design, but also landscape construction of urban space enviroment. They represent a city's civilization degree, openning degree and historical and cultural impression even if they appear usually as microcosmic elements. This thesis focuses and from humanistic care perspective to break the general concept of public works as city sculpture, but as a kinds of landscape entities build, as a spiritual level awareness to a new definition seek it whole urban space environment status, function and its design methodology. Summarizes current theories of contemporary research in this area, combined with graphic design, industrial design, modern landscape design, urban design, and culture, geography, society, history, customs and internal factors, to put the public art works onto the level of urban culture and arts, so as to improve the design quility and art taste. At present, because of less attention on the research of the public art,it arise a series of practical problems.The construction of public art design are always neglected and the present facilities can not match the city development and the space enviroment around and they can not satisfy people's demand of modern information communication.This article, in a method of combining theory and practice, learn from the current developed countries and urban landscape design, examples of public art and public art design combining the current actual situation。Starting from the point of urban design, landscape design, visual communication, summed up the definition of the concept of public art and described its role in urban spaces。The factors related to academic subjects and disciplines as well as specific design principles. It also raised the point of view that we should be pay more attention to public art with a point view of humanities and cultural. The thesis also put forward the idea of setting up public art design major, so as to make the subject as a professional design subject, following and combining urban planning, urban design, landscape design, construction design, planar design, industrial design and other subjects.
