Alcohol dependence which influence the patients'relationship and social performance seriously has high recurrence rate. The objectives of the study are as follows:investigating the factors which influence alcohol dependence patients' relationship and social performance, evaluating different aspects of the patients'psychosocial performance by using personal and social performance scale (PSP), helping the clinicians selecting the targeted treatments according to the severity of personal and social performance loss. The subjects are 50 patients who can take care themselves, with understanding and language abilities and without seriously physical disease, which accord with the alcohol dependence diagnostic standard, CCMD-3. We divided them into two groups-the study group and the control group-by Stratified Sampling, and each group has 25 subjects. We treated the control group with normal mental intervention, and evaluated the subjects with the Severity Index (SI) of disease of Clinical General Impression (CGI) and ADS and Global Assessment of Functioning (GAF). In the control group, besides above, we also used personal and social performance scale (PSP) to evaluate the patients, regrouped the subjects by the scale scores, and treated them with different psychotherapy. We evaluated the patients when 1 month,2month and 4month, and analyze the difference and correlation of the scores. The results are as follows:1. the total scores are significantly different between prior treatment and post treatment in text Group (p<0.01);2. the 4 dimension evaluate results of PSP could show the features of syndrome and target symptoms;3. there is no statistical significance between PSP score and clinical Severity Index (SI);4. the total score of Text Group is negatively related with ADS score, but has better relationship with GAF;5 the reduction rate of Text Group is obviously high than Control Group in every evaluation(p<0.01). Based on the previous studies, experience of negative motion and mental disorder always are triggers of relapse. We found the influence factors through interviewing the subjects by using personal and social performance scale (PSP). There are the conclusions:1. Unsoundness of alcohol dependence patients' defense mechanism is the important influence factor for their relationship and social performance.2. The process of evaluating personal and social performance scale (PSP) could reduce the relapse rate.
