In 30 years of the 20th century, literary magazine published one after another, at least 200 kinds of magazines published in Shanghai in 1933. "Crescent Moon" magazine in many literary journals reveals the unique charm, not only in political thought, poetry and drama of creation is unique, as academic concerns, the novels has its own characteristics. Throughout the "Crescent Moon" magazine full volume, it is released in different times, under different editors in charge have not lost focus on the novel. Compared to "Crescent Moon" on the Practice of Poetry, the novel in the "Crescent Moon" magazine does not account for the most impotent location, but the "Crescent Moon" magazine continues to attach importance to promote the novel. On the one hand the novels in magazine actively trying to modernist practices, and promote the modern Chinese literature integrate to the world modern literature; the other hand compared with left-wing literary novel, it forces on realistic novel and emerges out of the different way.In this paper, the novels of "Crescent Moon" magazine are the research object. From the theme of the novel, creative approach, describing characteristics of specific texts, the paper reveals the " Crescent Moon "magazine explore both the positive of Modernism fiction and realism, and " Crescent Moon "magazine introduce the Western literary thought in particular the Modernism. It can be seen, the novels of " Crescent Moon" magazine is rational, healthy, full of warmth, on one hand it shows a little modernism, on the other hand reflect the dark face of social reality, and there is a strong flavor of the times. It also turns out that the impact of Western modernism literature to the"Crescent Moon"magazine writers is limited. The writers just use it in display of writing skill level. Also may explain through real life experiences the liberal intellectuals have also to look progressively toward the broad social life, to face the darkness of social decay.
