Confucius said people wouldn't know destiny until they were fifty years old even they wouldn't be noblemen. I Ching said the end of the logic and nature is destiny. Han Shu explaind that Confucius hardly refered to the destiny maybe this was difficult to do. People would know it if they waked up to the change of the nether world. From those discussions we realize the importance of the destiny. Wei Jin dynasties regime changed very frequently so the time was out of joint and the celebrities were few. Zhuang Zi Annotation emerged with this background, his thinking of the destiny refered to the deepest level of philosophy and the destiny. For a long time, the author of this book has been still controversial. We even think the author is Kuo Hsiang, because the research of the destiny in this book will not be affected.Full-text prior to the start, introduced some attentions of the ophilosophers, and Kuo Hsiang sorted and studied in the destiny based on the previous studies. In the first place,he reveals the source of life is "nothing creature, there are thing-made" independent of ontology in the ontological point of view. This is mainly discussed from four aspects, the first, for the availability of Distinction summary, the second is the relationship between independent and nature, and the third is the relationship between nature and destiny, the last is the relationship between Xuan Ming's territory and the life. After that, he believed that man's life was distinctive, because of the different nature of all things which was the reason of the fate. Then he explained the composition of the "fate" from the points of "life" and "case of life" comprehensively and systematically. He said that "life" decided "case of life" which manifested "life". From this objective point of view, Kuo Hsiang explained how one should deal with "life" issue, in other words, obey fate and accept what happened in a normal state of mind. More specifically, we will obey nature and fate, the nature is divided into his own and the others and there will inevitably be conflicts between them in this realistic society. So he also talked about the solution when they were conflicting which was obey the nature of his own. "Obey fate" is also classified as "life safety" which is primary and "An event of life" so as to achieve peripateticism. All of the ideas of "fate" are discussed the unities in the philosophy of "natural" and "Norm", "saint" and "outside the King" and the forth is the the end result. Finally, as an important part of the chain in the spiritual development of Chinese philosophy, Kuo Hsiang's "fate" is precisely reflects the idea of "Heaven and Man" in a large extent. |
