The Deconstuctive Study On The Cultural Symbol Of "shajiabang"

Compared with the original one, the modern TV play adapted from the"Red Classics"has got a great change. Apart from the change in art styles, the key point is that the cultural significance containing within the adapted TV play has changed a lot. Through comparing analysis of the artistic styles and their symbol connotation of the modern Beijing Opera"Shajiabang"and the TV play"Shajiabang", this thesis will implicate the function of the form-change and its cultural enlightenment by using Semiotics theory.In the first part, the research background, significance, current situation, object, methods, the difficult points and creative points of the thesis will be introduced generally. Such a series of concepts as"Symbol","Semiotics","and Artistic symbol system"and their related theories will also be analyzed.In the second part, the differences of the symbol signifier system between the revolutionary modern Beijing Opera and TV play"Shajiabang"include compression and extension of time and space, the contradictory relation setting of singularity and diversity, the strong political and daily life symbol.The third part will pay attention to analyze the signified system differences between the revolutionary modern Beijing Opera and TV play"Shajiabang". Based on the revolutionary and costmary of the context of media reception and culture, this thesis will investigate the connotation difference between the political culture and massive culture, which are human nature distortion and truth, divinization and secularization, the lack and reversion of affection, the disappearance and highlight of female subjectivity.For the last part, the function and enlightenment of the the revolutionary modern Beijing Opera and TV play"Shajiabang"will be discussed, which mainly explain the functional analysis of the symbol system to the text expression and social culture. Furthermore, the cultural enlightenment in this process will also be discussed.
