The Study Of Literature Translation Of The Problem About "Likeness In Spirit" And Its Theory

Literature translation is one of the important parts of the translation fields. Recently, there are many kinds of translation standard, such as YanFu's elegance, Qian Zhongshu's sublimation and FuLei's likeness in spirit and so on. And there is one common view among them, that is, they all emphasize that literature translation should express the verve of the original texts.This article discussed the linguistic characteristic and design characteristic of the English novel "Gone With the Wind", on the basic of its three Chinese versions, compare the original text with the translated ones from their contents, linguistic and style, and then offer the basis which the readers can use to choose good versions, learn the translation skills from the above versions and learn how to translate the sentences which can be done with uneasily by the readers; At the same time, discuss the special worriment about literature translation, that is, the puzzle between "likeness in form" and "likeness in spirit" and lay out the connotation of the theory of likeness in spirit. In the end, emphasize the point of view:the theory of likeness in spirit must be followed in literature translation.
