In the history of ancient Chinese literary, The Book of Songs is considered to be the only masterpiece that had broken through the male culture blockades. Nevertheless, this thesis found that the influence of masculine consciousness on social activities and literature creation has already been revealed in The Book of Songs, with the Princess of Qi as an archetype. This paper set up a fate model of females live in the era of post-The Book of Songs, and analyzed the characteristics of the Princess of Qi as well as the deep-rooted reasons for her tragical destiny. By comparing the similarities and distinctions between the model and the fate of the Princess of Qi, the conclusion was reached that the fate of the Princess of Qi surprisingly fell in the fate model of post-The Book of Songs females, which is distinctly different from the fate of majority females of that age.Analyzing the tragical of the Princess of Qi from The Book of Songs facilitates further understanding of the special spirit and live conditions of her women group. It will also help us to get better ideas as the development of females of Qi even the Chinese females as a whole, from which we can draw valuable lessons for modern female revolution course as well as harmonious progress of men and women. |
