The Language Art Of Lao She'novels

Laoshe is a significant writer in the history of modern Chinese literature .We have studied his works before, mostly from the perspective of literary criticism, and the proportion of which I view from the perspective of language research is relatively small. So far, the study to the language style of such a famous writer from the linguistic point of view isa little. This article, which is wrote from the perspective of Linguistics,and based on a large number of language examples,analyze and discuss the language arts in Lao She'novel with the means of a lot of lists , classification, induction another methods. This aim is to understand its language arts features and the achievements and contributions of literary language.Popular and concise language of Lao She's is its artistic characteristics. By sorting out and analyzing to Beijing dialect vocabulary, verbal idioms, "child of Rhyme" and the use of spoken sentence, we find that Lao She's language with the special local feature of Beijing makes his works simple and unadorned. Viewed from the visual and auditory , Laoshe use expressive language to describe things and pay great attention to the different tone and the harmonization of rhythm,which makes his article catchy . In the use of words and sentences,Lao She focuses on the deliberation of the words, and the choice of sentence. and he is good at breaking the conventional use of language and creatively use some new collocation. Besides, he often use a variety of rhetorical devices. All this aspects make his works common and understandable but elegant and refined .More readers of various levels who are fond of literature can read Lao She's works and love it because of it's the language arts.
