The Mengzi (孟子) Yu (于) and Yu (於) are important components of language research in the MengZi(孟子), which belong to the specific language research. The MengZi(孟子) is an important Confucianism document before the Qin Dynasty and contains important language materials for the research on the language in the Spring and Autumn Period, and the Warring States Period. It has been valued by a lot of scholars, but few researches on it from the perspectives of the propositions of Yu (于) and Yu (於) have been done. Besides, the researches under the theoretical framework of Hierarchical Network of Concepts remain blank at home and abroad. The thesis, using the objective description and comparisons as the research methods under the theoretical framework of Hierarchical Network of Concepts, does exhaustive analytical research on Yu (于) and Yu (於) in the MengZi(孟子) comprehensively and objectively. The use frequency and emergency law of the propositions of Yu (于) and Yu (於) are summarized in The MengZi(孟子). The Present study is composed of A Brief Introduction to the Mengzi, A Brief Introduction to Mencius, the Current Research Situation of Yu (于) and Yu (於), the Distribution Frequency of Yu (于) and Yu (於) in the Mengzi, A Case Study of Yu (于) and Yu (於).There are distinctive differences between the distribution of Yu (于) and Yu (於) in the MengZi(孟子).(1) When it is used in the concept sentences, Yu (于) can be modified by the static concepts changed from attribute concepts. All the static concepts modified by Yu (于) are objective. Yu (于) shows the dynamic concepts are initiative or appulsive towards the static concepts in the sentences. Yu (於) can either be modified by the static concept changed from the dynamic concept or the static sentences. (2) When it is used for shifting the concept sentences, Yu (于) focuses on the whole process of shift. Yu (於) emphasizes the starting point, the endpoint, the location, and the object. In other words, it focuses on part of the shift process. (3) When it is in the relational concept sentences, the static concepts modified by Yu (于) are objective. Yu (于) shows the dynamic concepts are initiative or appulsive towards the static concepts in the sentences. Yu (於) can be modified by the clause of the static concept. (4) When it is used in the effective concept sentences, the static concepts modified by Yu (于) are objective. Yu (于) shows the dynamic concepts are initiative or appulsive towards the static concepts in the sentences. (5) Yu (于) can't be used in the process concept sentences, whereas Yu (於) can be used in the process concept sentences. Yu (於) in the process concept sentences can either be modified by the static sentences changed from the dynamic sentences or by the static concept clauses. (6) Yu (于) can't be used in state concept sentences, whereas Yu (於) can be used in state concept sentences. Yu (於) in state concept sentences can be modified by the static clauses.
