Cartoons play a main role in the children's TV programs, and they become the chief spirit food for children gradually. However, kinds of factors, belonging to adult's world, penetrate into the current children's TV cartoons, and this means that the production and development of current TV cartoons tend to be more and more"adult-like". This tendency violate children's rudimentary rights to some extent, without any prerequisites of children's own demands in cartoons'production and broadcast, so it is against the perceptions of"children-oriented"and"principal part of children"which are advanced and adhered by lots of domestic and foreign researchers. On the basis of predecessors'work, the thesis holds the perception of"children-oriented"and chiefly adopts the method of narrative analysis to analyze several respects of"adult-like"tendency existed in current TV cartoons, including the concepts of consumption and social hierarchy in the adults'world, the deliberate and distort descriptions of heterosexual psychal characteristics during Puberty, the effect of prototypical character of cartoons'gender on children's socialization, and kinds of immoral behaviors in the adults'world, such as adventure, disguise, greed, cheat and pitfall, etc. In addition, the thesis adopts the method of"Focus Group"to investigate the sample of child audience. The emphasis of this investigation is on two parts: the one is to investigate whether the"adult-like"tendency in TV cartoons has influences on the subjects or not, and what extent of these influences like; the other part is associated with the subjects'own real demands for children's cartoons. At last, through the comparison between the results of text analysis and audience analysis, the thesis proves that the"adult-like"tendency exists in current TV cartoons to some extent, and it has long potential influence on chilren's physical and psychal development. In terms of this condition, the author try to analyze the cause of this tendency and the negative effect received by child audience, and to advance the suggestions and measures theoretically to deal with"adult-like"tendency from several aspects, such as cartoons'production, scrutiny, broadcast, and program viewing, etc.
