As a new style of popular music, Rock and Roll was formed in the U.S. and combined 1950s'Country Music, Tin Pan Ally, Rhythm and Blues as well as other musical elements in the U.S. Stepping into 1960s, the British Rock and Roll, on the other hand, developed rapidly and Britain replaced the U.S. as the world center of Rock and Roll. The 1960s was considered to be the most glorious decade in the whole Rock and Roll history, and even in the entire history of Pop Music.The first chapter of this Article is divided into two sections. Section I focuses on the backgrounds and conditions when Rock and Roll generated with a comprehensive progress including social transformation and consumption needs etc. From a sociological perspective, the first section explores the reasons of early generation of U.S. Rock and Roll. Section II Talks about how Rock and Roll as a new pop music genre developed in the U.S. after the 1950s'combination of multi-music, and how it fulfilled the prosperity of 1960s'British Rock and Roll.Chapter II is divided into two sections. Based on the generation of U.S. Rock and Roll in 1950s, Section I recalls the development of British Rock and Roll in 1960s when it was considered to be the world most flourishing period for the development of Rock and Roll. This section describes how U.S. Rock and Roll spread to Britain, and how it brought a far-reaching impact on the British Rock and Roll. Next, starting from taking about the characteristics of 1960s'British Rock and Roll, section II explains why the people at that stage were so crazy about British Rock and Roll. Finally this section retraces British Rock and Roll's developing process.In 1960s, a new voice called the British Beat conquered the pop music world. Different from the U.S. Rock and R & B, British Beat was developed to a flourishing decade in Britain. The Beatles stood in the forefront of British Invasion which changed the progress of Pop Music in the next few decades. The Beatles became an important social and cultural idol influencing young people during that period. Chapter III conducts a case study on several songs which were typical 1960s'Rock and Roll from the Beatles. Focusing on the Beatles early forming, medium-term prosperity and post-transition respectively, this chapter shows the distinctive charms of 1960s British Rock and Roll.Chapter IV talks about the impacts of 1960s'British Rock and Roll on the world pop music. Firstly, this chapter interprets what kind of changes has been occurred to world pop music after the lyrics were changed in 1960s'British Rock and Roll. In addition, the section II of this chapter introduces that 1960s'British Rock and Roll forced impacts on the world pop music styles, including the United States, Australia, continental Europe, Russia and Brazil. Finally, this section takes the impact on China of 1960s'British Rock and Roll's as a conclusion part.
