The Book of Changes known as"the first of the Six Classics", whose contents not only records and reflects the social life and culture of Shang and Zhou dynasty, but also provides the information for modern people to understand and explore the pre-Qin's civilizations. The Book of Changes is a representation of ancient Chinese works with great language value, the language and vocabulary words reflect the basic features of the ancient times language .Making in-depth and detailed study on Book of Changes's vocabulary is very important to the ancient Chinese vocabulary and Chinese vocabulary history. It can also help people to better understand the contents of The Book of Changes, and discover the connotation and the linguistic value.The Book of Changes can be divided into Yi Jing and Yi Zhuan two parts. Yi Jing is the Sixty-four hexagrams and the explain of the hexagrams of The Book of Changes. The Sixty-four hexagrams are divided into 30 upper hexagrams and 34 lower hexagrams."Yi"means seven kind professionals interpretation of texts, a total of 10, they are like"wings"of The Book of Changes, so called"Ten Wings". This paper from monosyllabic words and polysyllabic words two aspects to analysis Yi Jing's vocabulary. Since there are many debates on the originating time of Yi Zhuan ,and the structure of the whole book is relatively fragmented, this article only extracted and imputated the idioms of Yi Zhuan in the the last part. Full-text is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the Introduction section. Introduces the main content, author and times of the The Book of Changes, introduces the value, the status quo, the corpus selection and the research methods of vocabulary study on The Book of Changes.The second chapter is the study of the monosyllabic word. The monosyllabic word is dominant in Yi Jing, this chapter describ them by statistical methods and exhaustive description, and classify them by the meaning of the word. Analysis and describes the monosyllabic words in Yi Jing, by the social life and cultural ideology it reflects and the stability and polysemy of monosyllabic words.The third chapter is the analysis of Yi Jing's polysyllabic words. By tatistics, analysis and classificat the polysyllabic words in Yi Jing. Sum up the characteristics of polysyllabic words in the The Book of Changes. Chapter IV briefly introducted the unique divinations terms. Yi Jing is a book for divination, so use large divination term is a language characteristic.Chapter V is the idioms study of The Book of Changes. This chapter extracted and summarized the idioms which derived from The Book of Changes, classificat and analysis these idioms detailed. There are a considerable portion of modern Chinese idioms derived from The Book of Changes, which shows that The Book of Changes's vocabulary words greatly impacts the future generations.
