Poetry and music are the form of expressing human emotion from the perspective of the essence of art, and the extent goes from the easy to the difficult and complicated. Spoken from the external form, poetry merges with music, and the rhythms of the poetry and the music are intrinsically linked. Both rhythms fit the natural internal rhythms of life, and both can awaken the inner rhythm of life.In the Tang Dynasty, poetry and music had reached the level of prosperity. There were a lot of famous poets such as Four Great Poets of Early T'ang Dynasty, Wang Wei, Li Bai, Du Fu, Du Mu, Li Shangyin and so on in the Tang Dynasty. According to statistics the total number of the Tang Dynasty poetry written by poets reaches nearly 50 000. Music in the Tang Dynasty also made significantly achievements. It appeared the"Ten Kinds of Music"in the Tang Dynasty, which were the Yan Yue, Qing Shang Yue, Xi Liang Yue, Tian Zhu Yue, Gao Li Yue, Qiu Ci Yue, An Guo Yue, Shu Le Yue, Kang Guo Yue and Gao Chang Yue. The dministrative organization of the music in the Tang Dynasty had reached the level of the maturity, and the number of musical performers was large. The types of instruments and technological aspects of production had reached the unprecedented height. There were about 50 different kinds of musical instruments in the Tang Dynasty. The relation between different ethnic groups unprecedently developed, and the music between the Tang Dynasty's Central Plain and the national minority merged together.The folk dances were prevalent.The poets in the Tang Dynasty paid attention to the rhythms, and in the Sheng Tang Dynasty, the poetry and the song reached their climax at the same time. The close relationship between the poetry and the music was showen that the music became an important writing material of the poetry. The number of the poetries describing the music is more than 600. The number of the poetries describing the musical instrument is more than 300. The number of the poetries describing the situation of appreciating music is more than 400.These works contain the abundant musical aesthetics.Firstly, the poetries describing the music reflect the aesthetic ideal of "He". The state of the "He" is the ideal state pursued by the poets in the process of enjoying music.It mainly reflects the three aspects: first, the "He" of the music itself; second, the "He" of the poets' aesthetic tastes; third, the "He" between the poet and music, which is the ideal of the unity of subject and object in the process of enjoying music.Secondly, about the the aesthetics of the instruments of the music, we think it should include the following: the characteristics and significance of aesthetics of the instruments of the music in the poetries, including the atmosphere of playing musical instruments, object-oriented, aesthetic characteristics of playing music; the relationship between the music aesthetics and the aesthetics of traditional Chinese music, as well as the traditional philosophy; the various aesthetics of playing music instruments is an important part .The poets mainly describe the Qin, Pipa, Zheng. We will introduce their aesthetics successively.Thirdly, In the Tang Dynasty, there are some specific poetries about appreciting music and dance which we regard as the"music poetry." Among them, Bai Juyi's " Song of a Pipa ", Han Yu's " Shi Ying listen to the songs playing ", Li He, " Lee quoted by Konghou " are the representative. The music poetries show that the precondition of poets enjoying the music, the process of enjoying the music, the characteristics of mentality of the poets' aesthetic perception and the elements of the poets' aesthetic perception. This includes aesthetic perception, aesthetic emotion, aesthetic factors such as association and imagination. These elements have their own characteristics and role, but at the same time coexist, interact, penetratre mutually, and promote the aesthetic integrity of the process of the poet.In short, though are no famous musical aesthetic works in Tang Dynasty, the Tang poetries contain the abundant music aesthetic, which is the important component of the Chinese thoughts ofmusic aesthetics...
