Created and performed by the Literary and Art Troupe of the Political Department of the P.L.A. Air Force in 1961,"Singing with Action of Revolutionary Historical Songs"is a large-scale song and dance epic with revolutionary historical theme, which shows the Chinese people's great journey to the victory of the New-Democratic Revolution under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. With the artistic means of vocal music, instrumental music, poems and songs, dancing, acting and stage design, it applies the performance form of"singing with action"to the singing of revolutionary songs in different periods to create a new stage art mode. On top of accomplishing a large number of excellent revolutionary songs, the creation and performance of"Singing with Action of Revolutionary Historical Songs"also provided valuable experience for the birth of"Red Orient", another large-scale song and dance epic.
