In comparing two languages it's a common phenomenon that their similarities and dissimilarities should be discussed. In learning a second language it is important to note of similarities of this language with one's own language. But it is much more important to take note the dissimilarities of the two languages specially in grammar, so that a learner can notice, and avoid also, any mistake in the grammatical and other field of the language. It is obvious, according to the inter language theory, that a learner will learn, compare with other language with the help of the learners own language and look for the similarities and dissimilarities of two languages. Hence, in learning as well as teaching of any foreign language a prior research has to be carried out to determine the content and format of the foreign language such selected materials will be most appropriate for learners, specially adult learners, with particular mother tongue.In preparing this article I have considered questions and views of the learners of Chinese language with Bengali as mother tongue, their common mistakes in home work and answer script have been studied and, being the foundation of the inter language theory, analysis of their understanding and dissimilarities in Bengali and Chinese language has been carried out. Dissimilarities in the grammar of Bengali and Chinese language, being the most important topic for the learners of Chinese language, with Bengali as mother tongue, have been investigated with profound interest out of many dissimilarities use of Number and Measure words, Modal verbs, Word order of Chinese language etc. may be mentioned. I have collected and studied materials relating to above mentioned grammatical dissimilarities of Chinese language with Bengali language and understanding of these dissimilarities by the Bengali learners and tried to analyze them to find a way for better and quick teaching and learning of Chinese language. I hope that the method I have suggested for teaching Chinese grammar to Bengali learners will be most scientific and by applying these methods I will be able to teach Chinese language with great success.
