A nation's intangible cultural heritage is her unique living memory of national spirit of all the people. To face the impact of "globalization" and "integration" to the non-material cultural heritage protection and heritage are necessary conditions to pass down the culture of a nation. In this context, The Mountains Rivers Show captures the culture imagery of eight most representative ethnic minority areas of the national in Yunnan. Performed in the form of poetry-dance it shows the World Heritage Site of Lijiang, World Natural Heritage and the rich Memory of the World Heritage cultural resources all at the same time and space to the Chinese and foreign tourists, with high aesthetic and commercial value. As The Mountains Rivers Show achieved great commercial success it triggered a paradox which is this adapted art of drama destroyed the "original ecology" of culture at the same time. This paper intent to study The Mountains Rivers Show using below theory of art such as semiotic, poetic dwelling, carnival discourse accepted-aesthetics etc.Chapter I tell the content, overview and background of The Mountains Rivers Show. The Mountains Rivers Show implied in the national folk culture and art to detailed described 4 chapters. They are Introduction, Mountain, River and Love. It points out and provides a new idea for people to heritage the intangible culture heritage in the living state.
