Yao Ji-heng was a famous discrimination scientist in the early Qing Dynasty. His book The General Theory of Nine Classics, Gu Jin Wei Shu Kao, and other books played an important role in the history of classics and history of discrimination, and he changed later "suspected ancient" school leader Gu Jie-gang's scholarly research, he had considerable influence in the development of modern academic. The General Theory of Yi Li which was re-discovered in 1996 allowed us to understand some of our predecessors had not been discussed in Yao's Thoughts of Discrimination. After a comprehensive study of this book, Yao's point of views which worth noting are as the following:Yi Li was a pseudo-book; Yi Li was written by Confucians in Late Zhou Dynasty; Zhou Li was forged by Liu Xin.The six Sheng Shi was not blong to The Book of Songs. Analysis and evaluation of these ideas can enrich our understanding of his thoughts of discrimination, and also let us understand that Yao's purpose of discrimination was to return to the original Confucianism. His argument was very bold and multi-views were beyond the previous when he inspected the ancient classics. His weaknesses are arbitrary, and he tend to criticize others,so his research was not rigorous.
