Studies On Wu Yuan-Heng

This dissertation is the research about the middle Tang poet Wu Yuan-heng and his poetry.Chapter 1 study in the life of Wu Yuan-heng. He inherited his grandfather and his father's Family Style. And he joined the Fu Fang Jiedushi as the secretary in the first year of Xing Yuan. While he was in Xi Chuan,Wu Yuan-heng stimulated the economic recovery and development, and made important contributions. And then the paper mainly inspected the disputed subject of the relation between Wu yuan-heng and Liu Yu-xi, Liu Zong-yuan. The relations can be summed up as follows: First, the Wang Shu-wen Group treated Wu Yuan-heng unjustly. Secondly, Wu Yuan-heng's attitude had always been fair. Third, after the death of Wu Yuan-heng, Liu Yu-xi and Liu Zong-yuan wrote poems to express their dissatisfaction; particularly Liu Yu-xi's poem is non-rational.Chapter II study in the editions of Wu Yuan-heng's poetry,and then point out which one is the best.Chapter III concern to the authenticity of Wu Yuan-heng's poetry.Chapter IV focus on the artistic achievements and significance of Wu Yuan-heng's poetry. "Guiqi beautiful" is his main style of poetry. "Beautiful " focus on the characteristics of the performance of the Zhenyuan poetic style; Wu Yuan-heng's Xichuan Frontier Poems showed the unique style of the unity of the Frontier Poem and the Tai Ge Poem. And this style can be called"Hong Zheng Ya Jian". The evaluation of Wu Yuan-heng's Seven Yan Poetry are higher than his Wu Yan Poetry. At that time, his poetry has an important impact on other poets.
