The History Development Of Piano And Piano Music

Piano plays a very important role with its wide range of this instrument's sound, the ever changing tone colour and rich expression in people's musical life and social life nowadays. Piano originated in Europe and experienced different historical periods in three hundred years process of its development and changes.With the development of piano's shapes,structure and sound,the piano works styles and playing techniques of musicians have also changed.Meanwhile the feedback and suggestions from composers and the need of piano works have promoted the improvement of the piano continuously.This paper, with the development of Western music in different historical periods as a clue, mainly expounds the evolution of the piano structure, etc.,and discusses the interdependent and closely relationship of which piano, the representative composers of corresponding period and their piano music. Full-text is divided into six chapters to discuss the situation of piano and piano music according to the six periods of Western musical development—the Renaissance,the Baroque, the Classicism period, the Romanticism period, the Impressionism period and the Twentieth Century. The article presents and discusses the development of piano and piano music during three centuries with text, images,notations,sounds and other multi-angle multi-dimension in order to enrich our understanding of more comprehensive and three-dimensional in this area.
