Performance Art Of Bamboo Flute In Jiangnan Sizhu

Jiangnan Sizhu, having a long history and wide popularity, is considered as a typical music genre in Jiangnan (South Yangtze) culture. Continual researching effort has been put on Jiangnan Sizhu since its initiation, and various achievements have been gained from the different aspects.Recently,results in related researches have been mainly published in books or musical journals in China, comprising general reviews and academic articles on history, musical styles, performance art and the biographies of musicians in Sizhu Art. From the figures above, it shows that the recent researches on the instrumental performance are less than the musicology, including styles, musical forms and developments of Jiangnan Sizhu.This article will focus on the main musical instruments of Jiangnan Sizhu-Bamboo flute in the Jiangnan Sizhu ensembles in the particular application. From the viewpoint of performance arts, it elaborates the Bamboo flute in the Jiangnan Sizhu music in the unique role and meaning of existence. It has distinct reference value for Jiangnan Sizhu playing in the Bamboo flute and Bamboo flute music of Jiangnan Sizhu music study.
