Comparison Research For The Evolvement Of Jiangnan Sizhu And Guangdong Yinyue In Shanghai

The article discusses how the city culture works on Chinese tradition music and the reasons for Chinese tradition music could exist in modern city based on historical evolvement of Jiangnan sizhu and Guangdong Yinyue in Shanghai.The first chapter expatiates the history of Jiangnan sizhu, and the second chapter expounds the history of Guangdong Yinyue.The third and the forth chapter are the core parts. The third chapter sets forth the development of Jiangnan sizhu and Guangdong Yinyue from early days of the 20th century to 1949 in Shanghai. In this chapter, the author compares the important representatives, clubs, instruments, performance, broadcasting and recordings of Jiangnan sizhu to those of Guangdong Yinyue, and analyses why they would prosper in Shanghai. The course that they became commercial production is stated subsequently.The interaction between Jiangnan sizhu and Guangdong Yinyue is discussed in the forth chapter. The author contrasts and analyses the two in five aspects such as music composition. That performance for entertainment and commonweal in Jiangnan sizhu is the important factor which results in the difference from Guangdong Yinyue.The fifth chapter expatiates the development of Jiangnan sizhu and Guangdong Yinyue since 1949.This period is compartmentalized three phases.The evolvement of Jiangnan sizhu and Guangdong Yinyue in shanghai is the process of tradition's renewal. In the epilogue the author should give some proposals on intercommunication, teaching, innovation of the two kinds of music so that they would adapt to the new period.
