On The Role Of Leonora In Verdi's La Forza Del Destino

Verdi is the representative composer of the nineteenth century Italian opera renaissance.《La Forza del destino》is one of his representative vocal works, and the actress's vocal part is hard for most performers to perform. As the singer, the author analyzes the protagonist Leonora's image-building in the scenario and music, and also discusses the main vocal parts as well. This thesis illustrates many aspects from the follows:the first part illustrates briefly the composer and the composing process of opera《La Forza del destino》as well. The second part mainly discusses Leonora's image-building from the script and music. The third part analyzes Leonora's two main vocal parts, and from which performers can manage the character shaping more deeply and meticulously.
