In recent years, the "tuning" art of Erhu performance, which originates from the ancient times, has been put under a heated discussion. Erhu, the best representative of the stringed instrument in folk music, could make a booming, sweet, pure and elegant sound, which could bring the feeling of both sweetness and boldness. Meanwhile, the extensive use of the left hand's playing techniques provides the "tuning" with the technical condition. The research of this article, lying in the four aspects from the qualification of Erhu's "tuning", the representative works, the common playing techniques to the most representative performers of this field, aims to explore the value and meaning of the "tuning" art of Erhu..
