The Suite for solo Erhu " Dream of Rulai", also known as "The Flame of Seed" which has been considered as a milestone-work, was composed by Mr. Liu Wenjin after finishing "Ballade of YuBei","Capriccio of Sanmen Xia","Capriccio of The Great Wall" in1997.The major figures and their symbolization in "Dream of Rulai" were originated from Mr. Yuxi’s masterpiece "Pao Xiu Luo Lan"The Suite for solo Erhu has filled the blank of the erhu works in the field of describing the profound religious philosophy. Meanwhile, the tuning of stringed instrument, skills, subject-matter and genre were unique and innovative.In2002, Song Fei, a prestigious Erhu maestro, recorded this Suite as a world-premiere edition.
