The revolutionary novels of Jiang Guangci's as a case study , and the early revolutionary novels of other writers'as an important reference, this paper mainly uses theoretical arguments and the method of combining text analysis, based on the different characteristics of the body which is divided into four categories : Clothing and physical appearance, disease, sex, torture and death, to investigate the relationship between the body and revolution in the proletarian revolutionary literature.The paper is composed of three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion. The main body is divided into four parts to start discussion.Introduction: According to historical review, this paper does scientific concepts about revolution and the body used in this article, then, illustrate the innovations of this paper by retrospective studies on the Jiang Guangci's novels.Chapter 1: Clothing, Physical appearance and the Revolution , by means of textual analysis, this paper explains the dress differences of revolutionaries, working people and counter-revolutionaries, and compares blue cloth and nice suits two typical dresses to demonstrate that dress helps to differentiate class status. On the other hand, it reveals that the female body is in the status of being gazed by male in the revolution and the trend of disappearance of the female gender characteristics by exploring women's clothing and physical appearance.Chapter 2: Disease and the Revolution , this chapter revels there are various diseases and their causes—poverty and class revolutionary, further more, it analyzes the phenomenon that disease has the metaphorical significance of the revolution, using "lung" and "syphilis" as examples.Chapter 3: Sex and the Revolution, this chapter generalizes the interaction between sex and revolution from two aspects. Firstly, this paper reveals the essence of revolution coexisting with sex from the love and desire of sex in the texts. In addition, it elaborates the normative ethical requirements of sex in revolution through the phenomenon of sex fade in revolutionary novels. Secondly, it connects the sex and revolution and studies the dynamic relationship of male body and female body in revolution to make the conclusion that men's charisma as the sexual revolution and the enlightenment of women to save the revolution.Chapter 4: Torture , Death the Revolution, from the violence and sadistic torture on the body, this chapter analyzes the fact that body's sufferings of revolutionary novels to reveal narrative strategy of he revolutionary belief in the suffering of the body. Further more, this paper categorizes the death narratology to judge the death value of workers, revolutionaries and counter-revolutionaries and indicate that the early proletarian literatures have unique narrative way of human nature.Conclusion: Takeing summarise on the paper, and making generalizations about the relation of body and revolution in early revolutionary literature from the class body contracture, revolutionary and human nature perspectives.
