Edith Wharton 19 famous 20th century writer, was born in a wealthy family in New York high society. Most of her works describe the experiences of upper-class characters and the tragic fate of the characters in the environment under the pressure of tough choices. "The Age of Innocence" was written in 1920, is one of a Wharton "Old New York" representatives. Elegantly refined and with compact structure being highly valued in society at that time, it received the Pulitzer Prize for Literature in 1921.With the exploration and perfection of the translation of her works, Wharton research in academia is gradually warming, critics explore and study his works from diverse point of view, deeper and broader areas. This paper aims to interpret "The Age of Innocence" from the perspective of theory of feminine narratology, analyze feminine voices and try to perfect the studying of Wharton. With profound thoughts and deep emotions throughout his life, Wharton shaped the image of the ideal woman. "The Age of Innocence" also discussed the prospects of women. But Wharton is not fully aware of the fact that the liberation of women is based on economic independence, an economic dependence of women is difficult to stand in spirit, but also difficult for women to achieve true self-liberation.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part of the "Age of Innocence" novel summed up the novel features of plot and character; The second part of narrative techniques, analyze feminine authority in the fight to take account of the means, including the imitation of male saying, the choosing of male character dominating the whole work and the using of "freely indirect discourse". Wharton want to express a strong fight for women the power of discourse, try to build an ideal state harmony and equality between men and women.
