The Trend,predicaments And Ways Out On China's Current Social Transformation

Based on the evolution of the social structure,the thesis attempts to research into the prob- lems concerned with China抯 social transformation in a macroscopic view. The social essential structure means the relation structure among social economy, politics and culture. Its evolution is mainly dertermined by the developing conditions of social division of labor and interchange, which is on the basis of productive forces. Prior to the social transformation,the development of productive forces in the planned economy society determined the social essential structure to be a polities ?centred unity of economy, politics and culture, furtherly determining the social essential features at the time. With the establishment of socialist market economy system,the social essential structure changed from unity to division, and the political activities lost their dominated position and the social essential features changed greatly. All these things indicate that the social transformation has made great achievements. In spite of the great achievements,there,undoubtedly,exist many predicaments because of the present transition of social transformation. This firstly assumes that the new civil society hasn抰 well developed,and the relatively seperated systems of economy, politics and culture can抰 bring their own functions into full play. The good workings of a society necessirily de- mand the balance and coordinatedgrowth among the internal elements in the social structure, which requires each system to bring its own functions into full play. Because the present social systems of economy, politics and culture can抰 play their roles fully, the imbalance was caused among the internal systems in the social structure. The imbalance of social structure reflects the motion of social macrosystem and the social basic contradictions, thus the imbalance will produce a series of negative effects on the people抯 mutual relations and behavioral modes in mi- crocosmic spheres. Though economy,politics and culture have intended to be seperated,the three systems still need a rational pulling force among them. So the key to extricate ourselves from difficult posi7 tions of transitional society is how to make each system bring its own function into full play, and coordinate the relations of the three systems well. For this, the thesis raises several pro- posals in a macroscopic view: Firstly, establish a perfect socialist maket economy system, and make the civil society grow healthily; Secondly, deepen the reform of political system,and real- ize the organic combination of political democracy and political authorty; Thirdly, improve the growth system of social culture, and strengthen the culture抯 ability in regulating the people抯 mutual relations and behavioral modes. Iwish my macroscopic tentative plans, which have been put forward in the last part of .the thesis, will be helpful to coordinate all the functions of the social structure, so that the social structure will tend to be dynamic equilibrium, thereby our country can extricate ourselves from difficult positions and realize our nations great revival.
