Russia, a country derived from the disintegration of the former Soviet Union, is in a turbulent period of time. All the world focus much more attention on its upheaval. It is the radical reform of Russian social system that is an important research topic overlapped by many different disciplines. Only if the evolution process of Russian society is revealed thoroughly and deeply, and the change of its social structure is studied in detail, the tendency of Russia's development in future can be known clearly. Inspecting and evaluating the panoramic changes of Russian social structure by Marxist stand-points, views and methods is an important theoretical research topic which faces lots of socialists. This dissertation analyzes the changes of Russia's social classes and strata as well as its economic and political features during the conversion period of Russian government system, whose aim is to provide essential bases for our understanding of Russia today and its future.
