Production management paradigm is the key by which enterprises obtain continuously high benefits. A set of production management paradigm, which is suitable for enterprise抯 characteristics, and is advanced and feasible, can ensure constant development of enterprise. Through analyzing the present status of production management paradigm at home and abroad, we can found that the greater parts of production paradigm are aimed at discrete manufacturing industries. The characteristics of process industries decide that their development must be guided by production management paradigm. The thesis begins with the special part of process industries----pharmaceUtiCal industry. Based on analyzing the production management characteristics of batch process of pharmaceutical industry and the present status of production management paradigm, the thesis advances a set of production management of pharmaceutical industry in the light of author抯 practical research experience. The main objects of paradigm are to improve profits of pharmaceutical industry, reduce production costs and guarantee quality of medicines. The paradigm advances a whole thinking of production management of pharmaceutical industry. We can spread the paradigm to other parts of process industries with similar characteristics. In respect of content the thesis studies especially five parts of production management paradigm in narrow sense~ which are input-output model, planning management~ cost supervision and control, dispatch management~ and facility and energy and measure and control management. At last, the thesis analyses utility of the production management paradigm.
