Study On China's Importing Of Foreign Direct Investment And Its Economic Effects

The utilization of foreign capital plays a important role in the economic development of our country from the reforming and openness. In the process of utilization of foreign capital, many successful experience have been accumulated, while there are many practical problems in the fields of importing and utilization of foreign capital. Therefore, it is necessary to study the problems the effects systematically in depth, and extend the crucial problems need to be paid attention to. To study the importing the foreign investment (FDI) is an important part of international economics and international trade study. At present, there are limited study on the economic effects for the host country, and less study on the economic effects for some special economic department. In view of this situation, this paper chooses the subject of tudy on China Importing of Foreign Direct Investment and Its Economic Effects? Aimed at the reality of China, the purpose of this paper is study the effects, the existing problems and the countermeasures for importing the FDI. This paper combines the theoretical analyses with the positive studies. By means of the theoretical analyses of international investment, the inducing method, building econometrics models and measuring the contribution rate of the economic variables, this paper does its best to accurately describe the economic effects and the problems from importing the FDI in our country, gives the theoretical explains, looks for the key points for the problems and the approaches to a settlement. The situation and characteristics of importing the FDI in our country is induced and summarized. In recent years, the volume of the utilization of foreign capital in China increased year by year, in which the volume of FDI is more than 80%. More than 60% of the FDI are came from Hong Kang, Aomen and Taiwan, and there is a rising tendency of the investment from the western countries. The investment concentrated in the Secondary Industrial is more than 70% of total FDI capital. The capital invested in the First Industrial is not more than 3% of total FDI capital, so there is a outstanding contradictory for agricultural department importing FDI. Besides, there are large unequal for the importing the FDI amounts in all regions, more than 80% of the total capital invested in the eastern coastal areas while a limited investment in middle and western areas. The average investment scale in middle and western area is less than thatin the eastern coastal areas. The contents and the results of this paper are as follows: 1. Based on widely document reading, the theories about the FDI are summarized and studied. It is suggested by the theoretical and positive study that the FDI is a important force for the economic development of China, and from the middle and long term developing angle, attracting the FDI is a basic tactics must be kept. 2. The action of the investors have multiple goals, which are different from the goals of the host country, so the FDI imports have both positive and negative effects to the host country. We must take the attitude that one divides into two, on the one hand, it needs take many measures to import the FDI vigorously, on the other hand, the effective policies must be systematically worked out to eliminate or abate the negative effects.
