The Electricity Price Forecasting And Generating Unit Maintenance Scheduling In The Electric Power Markets

With the introducing of electric power markets, the global power industry have been changing greatly. For this reason, the economic manage of the power plant is different from that of the past. In the electric power market, the plant has become an economically independent entity. The spot price forecasting has become the concern of the plant, and the generating unit maintenance is one of the most important issues for the plant. So, the two tasks are included in this paper. By comparing various methods of forecasting, the fuzzy neural networks has been chosen as the tool of forecasting. After analysis of the compose of the power price, the status of the installed capacity in the whole system has been selected as the input variable for its great influence on the change of the power price. At last, to improve the accuracy, the method for finding fuzzy rules by the fuzzy clustering is also introduced. In the aspect of the unit maintenance, the scheduling has been set in the view of the plant for the plant has become economically independent. In the future, the responsibility for the security of the system operation ~vill be assumed by the plant, So the plant must consider the LOGP(The loss of generation probability) when it make a decision of unit maintenance. In the meantime, by adjusting the coefficient of price conversion , the different scheduling have been made, which reflect the weightiness of the reliability of generation.
