Enterprise Management Information System Of Pangang Vanadium Refining & Steel Plant--Overall Design And Implementation

As a new discipline, Management Information System (MIS) is an applied system, which collects, transmits, processes, maintains and applies information by means of the advanced technology of computer, information and modern management. On the basis of the studies on domestic MIS and in view of actual production and management in the steel plant, this paper develops and discusses " Management Information System of Pangang Vanadium Refining & Steel Plant " as follows:1. Based on analyzing the status of the plant's production, managemen pattern, institutional framework, main technological process and application of computer, study the feasibility of establishing MIS in the plant.2. Make an overall plan and design of the plant's MIS,and define its main functional models.3. Analyze the model selection of MIS hardware, software and development platform, and study the key technology employed in developing this system.4. Study the development and organization pattern of MIS in the plant, analyze its application and effects and make a further study of its expansion and next-step plan.This system, appraised by Pan Zhihua Iron & Steel Group Corporation, aims at improving computer application skill, serving the plant's production and management and assisting decision-making with the help of information provided by this MIS. It keeps up with the standard of computer technology and MIS at home and abroad. The fruit of this paper has been utilized successfully in the plant, promoting a great deal its production and management.
