Based on the theory of industry organization and by making use of the specific data of China's motorcycle industry, this article first makes a detailed analysis of the present motorcycle industry structure in China, points out there exist considerably low accessing barrier and considerably high withdrawing barrier among the present motorcycle industry in China, and the industry structure is in a intermediate state between complete competition and monopolistic competition. Then it introduces the latest policy regulation measures for motorcycle industry in China at present, indicating that this series of regulations will be helpful for improving market integrity and creating a sound market environment for fair competition; next, the article gives a general introduction of both the development history and the current situations of Chongqing Lifan & Hongda Industry (Group) Co Ltd, investigates into its main competitors through careful selection, and concludes that the private enterprise among the motorcycle industry in Chongqing is the main competitor for Chongqing Lifan & Hongda Industry(Group) Co Ltd. After that it probes into two of the main competitors and makes further analysis and evaluation one by one of the internal capacity of Chongqing Lifan & Hongda Industry(group) Co Ltd, depicts its competitive position in motorcycle industry, and reveals that its core competition lies in its extremely strong capability in product development by its highly-qualified talents in scientific research. In conclusion, the article adopts the SWOT analysis method of strategic management theory and combining the present status of motorcycle industry resulted from the foregoing analysis, summarizes Chongqing Lifan & Hongda Industry(group) Co Ltd shall select to develop diversified enterprise strategies and the competition strategy of combining low cost with diversity.
